Family mini sessions! For the first time, I offered a shorter version of the family photo shoot. 20-30 minutes. A walk around the park. A mini adventure.  The families that came out for it were absolutely aaaaamazing and I am so lucky I had such wonderful and loving people. I will be offering these sessions twice a year, in the late Spring/early Summer and Fall. There are 10 slots open for each season. Email: ekehley@gmail.com for more info, to book early or to purchase a gift certificate for your loved ones. Thanks again to all the families that came out for the first Fall minis! XOXO

I recently attended the Click Away Conference in Seattle where I was bumping elbows with some of my favorite family and wedding photographers. One of my faves, Lissa Chandler, hosted a workshop called “Using Color and Texture to Create Bright and Happy Photographs”. She styled 3 “brides” in beautiful vintage dresses with gorgeous bouquets (umm…can we talk for a second about all of the amazing floral bouquets in Pike Place Market? I died.) and we headed to the Seattle Center (Space needle, EMP museum, Street Vendors, the largest playground I’ve ever seen, this place is ALIVE) for a shoot-out. I would photograph here all. the. time. Thanks to our pretty models Makailla, Alice and Bri and of course Lissa…I am totally inspired. xoxo.

Two days after this session, Laurie went into labor and they brought a little baby boy into this world. I know they are in the thick of it now, a baby needs everything you’ve got. But days before, on this quiet Sunday morning, I witnessed such love for one another and their baby to come, it nearly brought me to tears. These two have such a solid foundation, I have no doubt they will be incredible parents. Your love is inspiring. Thank you for sharing this special morning with me. Congratulations!!!

I met Joe and Melissa at Corvina Wine Company, where Joe shares ownership with his brother. We had a little wine, they smooched, danced, and they made sarcastic jabs at one another (my kind of people and a true sign of love). We snapped a few photos there before heading to one of their favorite places, Wildcat Creek Farm. It was the dead of winter and very chilly, but they were troopers as we hiked around the property.  Of course, returning to the barn to sip on some more wine and to warm up! Thank you Melissa and Joe for such a fun shoot!

Another senior session on the River Walk in downtown Milwaukee this past October.  This is my super talented and beautiful cousin Alyssa. She will be a senior in high school next year and I believe just got a lead role in her school musical! She started babysitting for Jack this year too and has been so great with him.  As these photos prove, she shines inside and out. I’m so proud of this girl. GO ALYSSA!
